The Brazilian Region of the International Biometric Society (RBras), the Organizing Committee of the (canceled RBras 2020), and the Brazilian Journal of Biometrics (BJB) have decided to keep publishing the special issue of the BJB under the topic of the meeting “Biostatistics and Biometry in the Era of Data Science”.
The decision is because many researchers who registered for the RBras 2020 have been waiting for a possible publication of their work in the previously announced Special Issue of BJB. Thus, we are inviting the authors that had their paper accepted for oral and poster presentation in the RBras 2020, and the scientific community in general to submit their work to the special issue of the BJB (v.39, n.1) that is expected to be published in March 2021.
Papers must be written in English and follow the BJB author guidelines (templates available at: http://www.biometria.ufla.br/index.php/BBJ/about/submissions).
Papers submitted should not have been published before in their current (or substantially similar) form and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Papers must be submitted using only the journal system (Make a submission) indicating in the letter to the editor that you are submitting for the special issue “Biostatistics and Biometry in the Era of Data Science”.
There is no limit to the number of papers per author.
There are no submission fees and no charges for publication.
The special issue will follow the following timeline:
30 August 2020 - Submission deadline EXTENDED to September 08, 2020
15 November 2020 - Authors receive reviews and recommendation
15 December 2020 - Authors of accepted papers submit revised version
15 January 2021 - Authors receive final decision
